1. Can my child bring a mobile telephone?
Yes. However, please bear in mind that during the activities, the mobile phones will be switched off, so the best time to phone your child is during lunch or dinner.
2. How can I contact my child by telephone during the camp?
You can call the group leader on duty (available 24 hours a day) on the number which will be duly given.
3. Is any day established for visiting children at the camp?
No. Parents and authorised family members can visit whenever they want.
However, as the camp only lasts for 10 days, maybe it would be best not to visit too often!
It would be convenient to check with us before visiting, so that we can confirm that there are no excursions organised at that time.
4. Is there anywhere to wash clothes?
Yes there is, but this doesn´t mean that your child will use the facilities. So we recommend that you provide him or her with plenty of clothes (mainly t-shirts and shorts).
5. Can I visit my child in their room during the camp?
No, access to the bedrooms by the parents is not allowed once the activities have started (if it were necessary, a group leader would accompany you).
6. Can other family members apart from parents visit?
Yes, but if others who are not parents or guardians wish to take the child off the premises, this must be authorised expressly by the parents and they must have this authorisation correctly organised.
7. My child can´t eat (or shouldn´t eat…). What should I do?
Simply let us know. We will adapt the diet to his or her needs, or, should it be necessary, we will give them their medication.
8. Are the children protected from the sun?
Yes, caring for your children is our obsession!
While sailing, the children are made to wear a t-shirt, hat and shoes. What´s more, our group leaders make sure that the children wear sun cream.
9. Is sailing safe?
Yes. Your child will be much safer sailing on the Mar Menor than riding a bike around the streets. They always sail with their safety jackets on, accompanied by certified monitors (in the same boat) and a life boat is always sailing around the boats.
10. Can the children leave the premises?
The children can only move within the limits of the premises and the adjacent beach and promenade. When children go swimming it is under the vigilance of the monitors.
At night there are no plans to go out, but if there is a group of children who are at least 15 years old and authorised to do so by their parents, a night-time excursion will be organised (accompanied by monitors) to la Manga del Mar Menor. |
